Industrial Skids & Wooden Crates

When the load is heavy, tall, fragile or oddly shaped, a standard pallet isn't the answer. We build shipping skids and wooden crates sized to the equipment, the forklift and the trailer.

Heavy-duty wooden crates and industrial skids built to hold machinery at a loading dock

What's the difference between a skid and a pallet?

A pallet has a top deck and a bottom deck. A skid has runners and no bottom deck, which makes it easier to drag, bolt equipment to and lift with a single-side approach. Skids are common under machinery, tanks, panels and oilfield components where the load is bolted or banded directly to the structure.
