What a pallet costs depends on the spec
Pallet pricing moves with a handful of things, and any supplier who quotes a flat number before knowing them is guessing:
- Specification
- Size, deck layout, board thickness, construction. A recycled 48×40 and a heavy-duty custom block pallet aren't the same product.
- Grade
- New, Grade A, Grade B, or remanufactured.
- Volume
- A few hundred pallets and a recurring truckload program price differently per unit.
- Freight
- Delivery ZIP and lane. Freight is a real share of the landed cost, so where it's going matters as much as what it is.
- Schedule
- One-time versus a recurring program we can plan production around.
